Siftly Review 2026

Analyzes what drives AI citations, tracks brand mentions across AI engines, and generates content tuned for those patterns.

Key takeaways

  • Siftly combines daily AI visibility tracking with content generation, citation outreach, Reddit action plans and LinkedIn scheduling, which makes it more than a pure monitor.
  • Compared with Promptwatch, it lacks Promptwatch's prompt volumes and difficulty scores, query fan-outs, YouTube citation reports, AI Shopping and Ads Radar, a prioritized Action Board and coding agent tracking. Siftly's own crawler logs are not described as IP-verified.
  • Pricing is accessible: free tier, then $79, $249 and $599 a month. Engine coverage is gated by plan, with Gemini only from Growth and Claude only on Enterprise.
  • Best for startups, B2B SaaS teams and small agencies that want one tool to track and act. Social proof so far is mostly vendor-selected testimonials, so run a trial before committing.

Siftly is an AI search optimization platform from a San Francisco team led by founder and CEO Chalam PVS. It is backed by Y Combinator. Note that the YC listing shows a W22 label even though the company says it was founded in June 2025, so treat the batch detail with caution. The product tracks how brands show up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and then tries to close the loop with content, outreach and social workflows.

The pitch is simple: your buyers ask AI first, so you need to be the answer. Where many GEO tools stop at a dashboard of mentions, Siftly adds an agent that finds a gap, drafts a fix and measures the lift. That puts it in the middle of the market, between basic prompt trackers and heavier enterprise suites. The customer list leans toward startups and small firms: Domu, Inkle, Appsmith, Tidal Loans, BROMO in Japan, and a handful of clinics and mortgage shops. It has a 4.8 rating on G2, listed under the odd product name "echoiq-echosolv-siftly".

If you are comparing tools in this category, the GEO software directory at bestgeosoftware.com is a decent place to see the wider field.

Key features

AI brand monitoring. Siftly tracks visibility, rank and share of voice daily across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with Gemini, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek added on higher plans. The dashboard shows a visibility-by-platform line chart, a leaderboard of competing brands with day-over-day change, and a share of voice panel. You can filter by model, location and topic, so ChatGPT versus Perplexity or US versus UK comparisons take a couple of clicks. It also separates brand visibility (your name is mentioned) from source visibility (your site is cited), which is the distinction that tells you whether you have a recognition problem or a content problem.

AI prompt tracking. You start with 3-5 prompts that mirror real customer questions, and the platform sweeps them on a schedule. Free plans refresh weekly, paid plans daily. Each prompt is tagged by topic, and you can see whether you were mentioned and which brands appeared alongside you. Prompts run per market and language, so a question asked in Germany gets its own report rather than being blended with the US answer. Growth gives you two geographies, Scale three.

AI citation tracking. This view lists the domains and pages that engines cite in your market, their share of citations, a domain authority figure, and how many brands appear on each. In the demo, runnersworld.com sits at 14.2% share and reddit.com at 9.4%, each with a "View outreach" or "Reach out" button. That button matters. Citation data is not just a report here, it feeds directly into outreach.

AI crawler traffic. Siftly logs which AI bots visit your site, how often, on which path, from which country, and why: training, indexing or answering a user question. GPTBot, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot all appear in the sample feed. It is a useful diagnostic, and it is included from the Growth plan along with GA4 and Search Console connections. I could not confirm whether the logs are IP-verified to filter spoofed bots, which is a detail worth asking about in a demo.

The Siftly Agent. The agent runs a research, plan, write and validate loop. You can run it guided, pausing at each step, or let it run. It works from your visibility, citation, crawler and draft data, and you can chat with it with questions like "Why did Perplexity coverage dip last week?" The example answer pointed to a specific date, a 4.1 point drop, and three prompts that flipped to a competitor after its page refresh. Suggested prompts such as "What changed this week?" and "Which pages do we fix first?" make it approachable for non-specialists.

GEO content generation. Drafts are built from citation data, checked against brand facts in a Brand Kit and Knowledge Hub, and published straight to your CMS. Templates cover blog posts, comparisons, guides and listicles. Starter gives you 8 posts a month with auto-publish, Growth 30 with FAQ and schema markup, and Scale 60 with multi-language support. CMS connectors include WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Ghost, Framer, Sanity, Strapi and Duda, which is a wider list than many rivals.

Citation outreach. This is the feature I find most interesting. Siftly drafts multi-step email sequences to sites that already cite you or your competitors, such as asking a publisher to update a link to a retired product page. Emails go out from your own address on a schedule you set, and you approve each campaign before it launches. Starter includes 5 campaigns a month and Scale 30.

Social visibility. Reddit action plans list threads worth answering, tagged by brand relevance, with replies drafted in your voice. A LinkedIn board lets you generate, schedule and track posts. Full social distribution to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Quora is reserved for Scale. Siftly's own data shows YouTube cited at 4.49%, Reddit at 3.17% and LinkedIn at 1.81% over 90 days to August 2026, though that figure is self-reported. For independent numbers, Promptwatch Data's social media citations by AI model report found ChatGPT drew only 0.46% of its citations from social platforms in late September to early October 2026, while Google AI Overviews drew 12.2%. So the value of a Reddit plan depends heavily on which engine you care about.

Experimentation. Siftly describes experiments where you compare control and optimized content and measure statistical significance against AI mention rates. It is a good idea in a field where most advice is anecdotal, though I would want to see how it handles the noise in AI answers before trusting small differences.

Who is it for

The sweet spot is a startup or mid-sized B2B SaaS team with one marketer or a small content team, tracking 50-100 prompts and wanting content and outreach in the same place. Domu, Inkle and Appsmith fit that profile. Boutique agencies handling GEO for local clients also look well served: BROMO's CEO says leads now arrive through Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT for its Japanese clients. There are dedicated use-case pages for agencies, B2B SaaS and legal firms, and the customer logos include mortgage brokers, skin clinics and a cancer care provider, so local and professional services are clearly in scope.

Who should skip it? Large enterprises that need deep crawler forensics, prompt volume data, shopping and ads visibility, or tracking across a dozen engines, including Claude, will find Siftly thin until the Enterprise tier. E-commerce brands that care about product carousels in ChatGPT will not find a dedicated feature. And if you only want a cheap pulse check on mentions, the free tier and a free grader may be all you need.

Integrations and ecosystem

  • CMS publishing: WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Ghost, Framer, Sanity, Strapi and Duda.
  • Analytics: Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4), on Growth and above.
  • Communication: Slack alerts when a citation moves or a run finishes, plus Gmail for outreach sending.
  • Social: Reddit and LinkedIn.
  • Developer tools: a REST API for visibility, citations and crawler data, and an MCP server exposing 14 tools so you can query rankings from Claude or Cursor. Docs live at docs.siftly.ai.
  • Free tools: an AI visibility checker needing no sign-up, plus audits, calculators and generators.

There is no official GitHub repository for the product. A project called Siftly on GitHub is an unrelated Twitter bookmark organizer, so do not confuse the two.

Pricing and value

Plans, per month (annual billing saves 20%; always confirm at siftly.ai/pricing):

  • Free, $0: 100 responses, 10 prompts, weekly refresh, ChatGPT and Google, competitor tracking, 30-day history.
  • Starter, $79: 4,500 responses, 50 prompts, daily refresh, Perplexity added, 8 blog posts with auto-publish, 5 outreach campaigns.
  • Growth, $249: 30,000 responses, 100 prompts, 2 geographies, Gemini added, 30 posts with FAQ and schema, Reddit engagement, AI bot crawl tracking, GA4 and Search Console.
  • Scale, $599: 108,000 responses, 150 prompts, 3 geographies, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek added, 60 multilingual posts, full social distribution, 30 outreach campaigns, 5 seats. Sales-led rather than self-serve.
  • Enterprise: custom, with unlimited usage, SSO, a 2-hour SLA and Claude tracking.

Siftly's own comparison page puts Profound at roughly $499 a month and entry, which makes Siftly's $79 starting point look friendly. Value is strong on Starter and Growth because content and outreach are bundled. By comparison, Promptwatch costs $95 for Essential and $245 for Professional, with Agency tiers from $199, and includes crawler logs, visitor analytics and 500 to 2,500 Agent Credits. Siftly's response allowances are generous per dollar at higher tiers, but the engine ladder means you pay up for Gemini, and Claude is Enterprise only.

One inconsistency: Siftly's own instructions page says Scale covers 8 engines while the pricing page shows 7. Check the current engine list before buying.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Outreach drafted from live citation data is a rare and practical feature.
  • Broad CMS support, plus Slack, MCP and API access.
  • Real per-market and per-language prompt sweeps.
  • Low entry price with a free tier and 7-day trial.
  • Brand Kit and Knowledge Hub keep generated content on-message.

Limitations

  • Engine coverage is gated: Gemini starts at Growth, Claude at Enterprise, even though the homepage mentions Claude in its meta description.
  • Evidence of results is vendor-selected. All four G2 quotes on the pricing page were chosen by Siftly, and I found no independent complaints or deep reviews either way.
  • Scale needs a sales call.

What it lacks compared with Promptwatch

Siftly is a competitor to Promptwatch, and the gaps are specific:

  • No published prompt volumes or difficulty scoring, and no query fan-out view showing the searches AI runs per answer.
  • No IP-verified crawler logs with a crawl-to-citation path per page, as far as its public materials show.
  • No Search Console and Bing data joined per page against AI crawls, citations and clicks (Siftly has GA4 and Search Console only).
  • No dedicated YouTube citation reports, and no AI Shopping or Ads Radar for ChatGPT carousels, Amazon Alexa or sponsored placements.
  • No page tracker or offsite mentions for unlinked brand names.
  • No prioritized Action Board or weekly Discovery agent, and no coding agent visibility for Codex, Claude Code or OpenCode.
  • Real-UI tracking across 15+ engines is not documented in the way Promptwatch documents it.

Bottom line

Siftly is a sensible choice for small teams that want tracking, content and outreach in one low-cost tool, and the citation-to-outreach workflow is its most distinctive idea. Test it on the free plan with 10 prompts and see whether the drafts match your voice.

If you need deeper evidence for decisions, including crawler logs, traffic attribution, prompt difficulty, shopping and ads data, plus an agent that plans and publishes on a schedule, Promptwatch is the stronger option. For a wider shortlist, see the AI rank tracking directory at ai-rank-tools.com.

Best use case: a startup marketer who wants to find the pages AI already cites and get content and outreach drafted for them without stitching together three tools.
