Geoptie Review 2026

Offers a GEO audit and free tools for checking visibility engine-by-engine across ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI.

Key takeaways

  • Geoptie is an affordable GEO platform ($49 to $399/mo) with a genuinely useful free audit and rank tracker, plus monitoring across seven AI engines.
  • It is mostly a monitoring and light-optimization tool. Compared with Promptwatch, it lacks IP-verified AI crawler logs, AI traffic attribution, Reddit/YouTube/LinkedIn citation reports, AI Shopping and Ads Radar, prompt volume and difficulty scoring, query fan-outs, CMS publishing and an agentic action layer.
  • Each brand can track only four of the seven engines at a time, and country tracking burns prompts fast because every market counts as a separate prompt.
  • Unlimited free team seats, white-label reports, a REST API and an MCP server (Professional and up) make it a good fit for small agencies.
  • No free trial and no scheduled report delivery. Customer logos are vendor claims.

Geoptie positions itself as an all-in-one Generative Engine Optimization platform. The pitch is simple: a growing share of buying research starts inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI surfaces, so brands need to know whether they get named, cited and recommended there. The product combines a set of free tools with a paid dashboard for ongoing tracking, competitor comparison, source analysis and content work. Search Engine Land covered the launch of its all-in-one GEO dashboard.

The homepage lists logos such as AKQA, Amgen, Capgemini, Decathlon, Dentsu, Verizon, Wpromote and Mazda, and claims 1,000+ businesses. The site does not say what each of those customers actually uses it for, so treat the list as marketing. The real audience, judging by the pricing, is startups, in-house marketers and small to mid-size agencies who want AI visibility tracking without a four-figure monthly bill.

I like that you can try something real before paying. The free GEO audit and rank tracker work without a sales call, and a Medium roundup of GEO tools calls the audit genuinely useful. That matters in a category where many vendors hide everything behind a demo request.

Key features

Free GEO tools. The top of the funnel is a set of free pages: a GEO Audit, a Rank Tracker, an AI Visibility Checker, a Content Checker, a Keyword Finder, a Cannibalization Checker and a Backlink Finder. There are also single-engine trackers for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude. The audit scores a page on things like answer-first content, citation authority, AI comprehension, technical optimization and content freshness, then lists what to fix.

Prompt tracking and discovery. You build a set of prompts (for example, "best AI-native CRM tools for startups") and Geoptie runs them on a daily schedule. It suggests prompts, and tags them by intent, market and trend. Practical detail to know: a prompt is tracked in one market at a time. The same question tracked in three countries uses three prompts. Country-level tracking covers 123 markets, which is wide, but it eats your allowance quickly.

Seven engines, four at a time. Supported engines are ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. On every plan you pick any four per brand and can swap the selection at any time. That is a real limit, and Geoptie admits it in its own comparison post.

Metrics dashboard. The main view shows visibility score, detection rate, brand sentiment, average position, total mentions and citations, each with a trend delta. It is a clean, readable layout. Sentiment analysis is on every plan.

Competitive radar. You add competitors, group them and exclude noise, then compare visibility, sentiment, citations, position and mentions across prompts. This is the table-stakes feature of the category and it is done competently.

Cited domains and URLs. The sources view shows which sites AI models cite for your prompts, for example LinkedIn, G2, Reddit or TechCrunch, and how that trends over time. It pairs with the Backlink Finder idea: find the third-party pages feeding your competitors' visibility and go after them. It does not give dedicated Reddit, YouTube or LinkedIn reports the way Promptwatch does.

Content optimization and generation. Geoptie scores an existing page against the prompts you are losing and generates content. Audits and content generations are unlimited on every plan, which is generous. What is missing is any publishing pipeline to WordPress, Webflow or Framer, and no crawler data to tell you whether the new page was actually read by an AI bot.

Reporting, API and MCP. Every plan gets a unified PDF brand report and CSV export. Professional and Enterprise add white-label reports (your name, logo and accent color, with the Geoptie footer removed), a REST API and an MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex that share one key. There is no scheduled report delivery.

Who is it for

The Starter plan fits a solo founder or a small SaaS marketing team tracking 15 prompts for one or two brands. Think a startup watching how it shows up for "best X for Y" queries against four competitors. It is cheap enough to try without a budget conversation.

Professional is the real target: boutique and mid-size agencies running 5 to 10 client brands. Unlimited free team members, read-only client access to their own brand and white-labeled reports make client reporting simple. A hundred prompts across ten brands is tight, though, so expect to be selective about what you track.

Enterprise at 400 prompts and unlimited brands suits agencies or portfolios with many properties, but that is not enterprise in the large-company sense. There is no mention of SSO, audit logs or a dedicated success manager.

Who should skip it: teams that need to prove revenue impact from AI search. Geoptie shows mentions and citations but not crawler logs or visitor analytics, so you cannot tie visibility to traffic and conversions. Large brands that need to track all seven engines per brand, or run many countries and languages at volume, will hit the prompt and engine caps quickly.

Integrations and ecosystem

Integrations are thin compared with the bigger suites. The headline items are the REST API and the MCP server, both on Professional and Enterprise, with API key management included. The MCP server works with Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, which is useful if your team does reporting through an AI assistant. Exports are PDF and CSV.

I found no documented Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster connection, no Looker Studio connector, no Slack alerts and no CMS publishing. There is no browser extension or mobile app mentioned. The research found no official X, GitHub, Discord or LinkedIn company profiles, so I have left those out.

Pricing and value

All plans are month-to-month and cancelable anytime. Annual billing is 10 months for the price of 12, which brings the effective rates to $41, $83 and $333.

  • Starter, $49/mo: 15 monitoring prompts, 2 brands, any 4 of 7 engines per brand, daily tracking, 123 country markets, unlimited audits and content generations, unlimited team members. No white-label, API or MCP.
  • Professional, $99/mo: 100 prompts, 10 brands, plus white-label reports, REST API and MCP server.
  • Enterprise, $399/mo: 400 prompts, unlimited brands. Extra prompts are +100 for $99/mo, available on Enterprise only.

There is no free trial, which Geoptie itself lists as a con. The free audit and rank tracker partly make up for that. Check geoptie.com/pricing before buying, since numbers change.

Value is strong at the low end. Professional at $99 for 100 prompts is cheaper per prompt than most monitoring tools I have seen. The catch is the prompt math: track five prompts in four countries and you have used 20. Promptwatch's Essential plan costs more at $95/mo for 50 prompts, but it includes all models, crawler visibility, visitor analytics, site audits and content gap analysis, so you are buying a broader product.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Free tools that are actually usable, including a GEO audit and rank tracker with no demo gate.
  • Low entry price and a $99 agency plan with white-labeling.
  • Unlimited team members and free read-only client access.
  • Unlimited audits and content generations on every plan.
  • API and MCP server at the Professional tier, which is early for this price.

Limitations

  • Only four of seven engines per brand at a time, no free trial and no scheduled reports, all admitted in Geoptie's own comparison post. That post ranks Geoptie first, so it is not independent.
  • Country tracking consumes the prompt budget fast.
  • No independent user reviews on G2, Trustpilot or Reddit turned up, so real-world reliability is hard to verify.

What it lacks versus Promptwatch

Geoptie is a monitor with a content assistant attached. Promptwatch covers much more:

  • IP-verified AI crawler logs and crawl-to-citation tracking, so you see which pages GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot read and where they hit errors.
  • Visitor analytics that tie AI traffic to conversions, plus Google Search Console and Bing data per page.
  • Prompt volumes, difficulty scores and query fan-outs.
  • Dedicated Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn citation reports, plus offsite mentions.
  • AI Shopping tracking (ChatGPT, Amazon Alexa) and Ads Radar.
  • Answer gap analysis, the Content Agent with publishing to WordPress, Webflow and Framer, the Action Board and Agent Chat.
  • Real-UI tracking of 15+ engines, including coding agents like Codex and Claude Code.

Bottom line

Geoptie is a sensible pick for startups and small agencies who want cheap, readable AI visibility tracking and client-ready reports, and who will not be bothered by the four-engine cap. Start with the free audit and see if the recommendations are useful.

If you want to know why you are invisible, whether AI crawlers can read your site and what traffic AI sends you, then fix it with agents that publish content, Promptwatch is the stronger choice. More options are listed in the GEO software directory at bestgeosoftware.com.

Best use case: low-cost AI visibility monitoring and white-label reporting for a small agency.
