Key takeaways
- Botify is still the reference for crawl and log analysis on sites with millions of URLs. Most teams look elsewhere because of price (reportedly around $5,000 per month, never published) or because they need AI answer tracking and content execution.
- Alternatives fall into four groups: enterprise suites (Conductor, seoClarity, BrightEdge, Semrush Enterprise), technical crawlers (Lumar), AI visibility platforms (Promptwatch, Profound, AthenaHQ, Peec AI), and execution tools (Search Atlas).
- Most large teams end up with a suite plus a specialist, not one tool that does everything.
- Nearly every ranking of these tools is written by a vendor. Treat the lists, including parts of this one, as a starting point and verify prices and engine coverage on a demo call.
Why teams look for a Botify alternative
Botify is good at what it was built for. It crawls huge sites, analyzes server logs, and shows where crawl budget is being wasted. If you run a marketplace or a publisher with millions of URLs, that matters a lot.
The complaints I see repeated fall into three buckets.
- Price opacity. botify.com/pricing redirects to a demo request. Third-party figures put Botify around $5,000 per month against roughly $2,667 for Lumar, but those are reported numbers, not vendor-published, and may be stale.
- AI search coverage. Botify calls itself an "AI search optimization platform" and advertises "AI Activation" automations, plus GEO and AI bot analytics. Conductor's ranking, on the other hand, says Botify "doesn't track AI citations or brand mentions." Conductor is a competitor, so that claim is biased, and Botify has not published a list of engines it covers. That gap is the real issue: you can't tell from the outside what you'd get.
- Scope. Botify is a technical platform. It does not replace rank tracking suites or content tools, so you often pay for it on top of something else.
If none of those bother you and you have millions of URLs, stay. Nothing below crawls at that scale better. If one of them does bother you, read on.

Enterprise suites
If you want one contract that covers rankings, content, reporting and some AI tracking, you're looking at a suite.
Conductor
Conductor ranks itself first on its own enterprise list, which tells you something about objectivity, but the product is real. It claims the most comprehensive native AI tracking among enterprise platforms, with citation monitoring, share of voice and sentiment across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Copilot. Indexable lists AgentStack (apps inside ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot, plus an MCP server) and SOC 2, ISO 42001 and ISO 27001 certifications as vendor-stated. Pricing is custom, and Indexable noted the pricing URL returned a 404 when checked.

The screenshot above is Conductor's own ranking. Useful for seeing how a competitor frames Botify, not a neutral benchmark.
seoClarity
seoClarity is the suite that prints prices, which is rare. As of October 2026 its pricing page lists Research and Content from $2,500/month, Technical SEO at $3,200 and Enterprise at $4,500, scaled by domains and keywords. It also has its own crawler, log file analysis and internal link analysis, so it overlaps with Botify more than most suites do.
On AI, ArcAI covers 10 engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Doubao and Claude. It reports mention and citation share of voice, and the ArcAI Accuracy add-on flags AI answers that conflict with factual claims on your own site. That last one is useful for regulated industries.

One caution. A third-party listing shows seoClarity "from about $300/month Essentials." That conflicts with the $2,500 floor above, so I'd treat it as stale or a different tier.
BrightEdge
BrightEdge is custom-priced and offers Site Agents Suite, SEO Copilot and Data Cube. It's a good fit when multiple teams need one dashboard that shows traditional rankings and AI visibility together.

Semrush Enterprise and Ahrefs
Semrush has been an Adobe company since April 28, 2026. Enterprise pricing is unpublished, but the AI Visibility Toolkit is $99/month per domain billed annually, which makes it an easy way to test AI tracking before a big commitment. Ahrefs Enterprise is $1,499/month on an annual commitment, plus Brand Radar across six engines. It's a toolset, not a managed program, and I found no published claim that it deploys changes for you.

Technical crawler alternatives
Lumar
Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl) is the closest like-for-like swap. It pairs enterprise crawling with GEO, speed and accessibility metrics. It has no rank tracking or content creation, so most teams pair it with a suite. Pricing is not published, though reported figures put it below Botify. If accessibility and QA sit in the same remit as SEO, Lumar is a good fit.
One honest note: if crawl and log analysis at massive scale is the job, Botify is hard to beat. Even the vendors who compete with it say so.
AI visibility platforms
This is the category Botify doesn't really fill. A crawler tells you what your site looks like to a bot. An AI visibility platform tells you what ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity say about you, which sources they cite, and what to fix.
Promptwatch
Promptwatch is where I'd start for the AI side. It monitors the real interfaces of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and others rather than only API outputs, which matters because user-facing answers and citations can differ from API results. What separates it from prompt trackers is the loop after the report: content gap analysis, a Content Agent that writes and publishes to WordPress, Webflow or Framer, and an Action Board that prioritizes fixes. Then it tracks whether the published pages get crawled, cited and clicked.
The overlap with Botify is the crawler logs. Promptwatch shows IP-verified AI crawler hits (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others), the errors they hit, and a citation rate per page. It is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, which helps in enterprise security reviews. Plans start at $95/month (Essential), with Business at $579/month and custom Enterprise. Confirm at promptwatch.com/pricing.

Profound
Profound is the enterprise name in AI answer measurement, with up to nine engines on Enterprise, a free trial, and custom pricing. It's strong on monitoring and has agents on top. Data-Mania's ranking calls it the best for enterprise, citing 10+ engines, API and SSO access.
AthenaHQ and Peec AI
AthenaHQ has a free tier, Starter at $295/month and custom Enterprise, covering 11 models and publishing to CMSs through governed workflows. Peec AI costs $95, $245 or $495 per month with Enterprise custom, covers 3 models on Starter and up to 13 on Enterprise, and recommends actions but explicitly does not write or publish content. Peec is a good analytics-first choice for teams with their own writers.
Execution tools
Search Atlas
Search Atlas pairs its OTTO tool with a public price: it "scans your site and deploys fixes in real time," from $79/month up to Enterprise from $999. Botify advertises automated deployment as well, but at a very different budget. If your bottleneck is getting fixes live rather than finding them, this is worth a trial.

What the data says about AI crawlers
One reason to care about crawler analytics is that the mix keeps shifting. Promptwatch Data's AI crawler traffic report found OpenAI accounted for 79.8% of IP-verified AI crawler requests in Aug 31 to Sep 6, 2026, down from 94.8% in Jun 8 to 14, covering OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity and Mistral. Separately, Promptwatch's data on Meta-WebIndexer showed it growing from about 2% to nearly 38% of tracked AI crawler requests between mid-July and August 9, 2026.
Practical use: when a platform claims "AI bot analytics," ask whether it separates training crawlers from answer-time fetchers, and whether it filters spoofed user agents. If a provider is big in the overall mix but near zero in your logs, you're probably blocked by robots.txt, your CDN or a WAF.
Software buyers and where AI looks
If you sell one of these tools, note where ChatGPT gets software answers. In Promptwatch's software citation report for Sep 28 to Oct 4, 2026, GitHub led at 1.2%, followed by learn.microsoft.com at 0.98% and G2 at 0.73%. Documentation and help centers earned 2.64% of citations and vendor sites 2.01%, against 1.57% for review sites and analysts. Your own docs and product pages carry more weight than review profiles, though keeping G2 and Capterra current still matters.
How to choose
- Do you have millions of URLs? Keep Botify or switch to Lumar. Crawl budget is the problem, and suites are weaker here.
- Do you need one contract for rankings, content and reporting? Look at seoClarity, Conductor or BrightEdge. seoClarity wins on price transparency.
- Is AI answer visibility the priority? Add a specialist: Promptwatch if you want optimization and content execution, Profound for enterprise measurement, Peec or AthenaHQ for lighter budgets.
- Is shipping the bottleneck? Test Search Atlas, or an AI platform with a publishing agent.
For a typical enterprise above a few hundred million in revenue with a staffed team, a suite plus a specialist is the common shape. Both Indexable and Honeyb describe the same stack.
Caveats before you buy
- Indexable, Honeyb and AirOps are vendors or vendor-adjacent, and their rankings favor their own products.
- Prices in this guide come from different dates (Sep and Oct 2026, plus older Prerender figures). Re-verify.
- Engine lists are vendor-stated. Ask for a trial against your own prompts and compare against a second tool.
For more options, the GEO software directory lists dozens of AI visibility platforms with side-by-side details.
Bottom line
Botify remains the pick for crawl and log analysis at extreme scale. For everything else, split the job: a suite or crawler for classic technical SEO, and an AI visibility platform that shows what the answer engines say about you and helps fix it. Start with demos from seoClarity and Promptwatch, since both publish more detail than most competitors, and run the same 50 prompts through each before signing anything.
